Embarassingly Easy Eton Mess

I feel like a chuffing fraud even uploading this one, it's barely even a recipe. But it's been requested, so why not, eh?
Eton Mess
Makes 6, in those 60p glass tumblers from Asda. This is a decent portion, so you could be a bit tighter with it - maybe 8 portions in standard size wine glasses.
Ingredients:
600ml pot double cream
2 large punnets strawberries - take the tops out, and cut into small, spoonable pieces. Stash some to one side for the garnish to make them pretty.
6-8 ready made meringue nests - the ones from the supermarkets are the perfect size for one in each portion.
(optional) 1 tbsp vanilla paste
(optional) 30g icing sugar
Method:
Get your cream in a large mixing bowl, add the vanilla and icing sugar if using, and whisk until it forms soft peaks. Don't go too far - keep it nice and sloppy.
Stir in the chopped strawberries.
Spoon into the glasses, layering with the crushed meringues, lightly pressing down so you don't get big air pockets - although it looks pretty to have some, as in the pic.
Garnish with the reserved berries.
These are obviously made with fresh cream and fresh cut fruit, so need keeping well chilled. Eat within about 12-24 hours of making them.
